Why We Made Search a Priority
Search is where your next lead starts. In our 2026 AEC user survey of our 750,000-user community, 78% of specifiers said they begin their experience by typing a query directly into the search bar—meaning search is the single biggest factor in whether they find your products at all.
That's why we invested in making it faster, more relevant, and more useful, so more of that traffic turns into visibility and leads for you.
WHAT'S NEW
4 Changes to How Your Products Get Found

01
Your Products Surface for the Searches That Actually Matter
The new search prioritizes results based on what a specifier is actually looking for — not just keyword matches — so your products are more likely to appear in front of the right buyer.
What this means for you:
- More of your products visible on each results page, ranked more logically by relevance
- Stronger matching on the industry-specific terms your buyers search
- Visibility across a broader range of related queries
- Cleaner, easier-to-scan listings with consistent, polished product cards
02
Discoverable by the AI Tools Specifiers Are Turning To
Specifiers aren't just searching manually anymore — they're using AI tools to find products. The new search experience is built for both.
What this means for you:
- Your listings connect to structured, machine-readable product data AI tools can read
- Clear, natural-language context so AI engines understand what your product does and who it's for
- Consistent, product-first presentation that improves how your listings are understood — by people and by AI

03
Your Products Reach a Broader, More Relevant Audience
Enhanced matching logic aligns results more closely with what specifiers actually intend to find.
What this means for you:
- Stronger matching on the industry-specific terms your buyers search
- Your most relevant products ranked higher, more consistently
- Visibility across a wider range of related queries
04
Your Verified Content Gets Found First
A verified content filter lets specifiers narrow results to trusted, up-to-date product data — so when your content is verified, you stand out from listings that aren't.
What this means for you:
- Your verified products are eligible for a dedicated "Verified" filter specifiers can apply to narrow their search
- Stronger visibility among specifiers who prioritize accuracy and current data over unverified listings
- A clear, visible signal that your CAD, BIM, and spec content is trustworthy and current
- A direct incentive for keeping your content up to date — it's rewarded with better placement, not just compliance

SPONSORSHIP
Your Sponsorship Investment Stays Protected
The enhanced search experience continues to support strong manufacturer visibility through Featured Search placements — here's exactly what stays the same and what's better.
What You Can Count On
Your Featured Search placements continue to appear at the top of relevant search results, ahead of organic results ranked by relevance.
What stays consistent for you:
- Priority placement at the top of relevant search environments
- Visibility across keyword searches, category browsing, and filtered results
- Your sponsored listings clearly labelled, maintaining trust with specifiers

Your Featured Placements, Presented Better
For most Featured Search placements, the visual presentation stays familiar — your products still appear with their product imagery.
What's better for you:
- Your product image displays instead of a technical file preview
- Your featured placement appears within the unified search results layout
- Technical files remain one click away within your product listing
Clicking your company name as a Featured Company now filters search results to show only your products — keeping specifiers engaged with your listings instead of navigating away to your profile.
